The conference is particularly aimed at representatives of energy intensive companies, those involved in decarbonisation and CCU (carbon capture and utilisation) technologies, those interested in information on the current legislative framework for decarbonisation and possible solutions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. 

Decarbonisation of Energy Intensive Industries

The conference Decarbonisation of Energy Intensive Industries: Challenges, Opportunities and Solutions will take place from 10 to 11 November 2022 at Hotel STAGES in Prague as a part of the Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The conference will feature discussions and presentations on a broad range of legislative, environmental, technological, and R&D aspects of decarbonisation including the challenges awaiting EU industries and their potential contribution to meet the goals of the Paris agreement of 2015.
The conference will bring together policymakers, representatives of industry and experts to examine what is the right policy framework for decarbonisation considering existing solutions and technologies as well as future innovations to recycle green house gases emissions. Speakers and panelists will also debate on sustainable and feasible options for decarbonisation to inspire all those involved in different aspects of the green transformation, showcasing the opportunities for using CO2 and other green house gases as an input raw material for chemical and other industrial applications.
